Weekly Dose of Politics

Barbra Bush hopes Palin stays in Alaska. Guess what 67% of Americans agree, according to ABC news.

But really what's new? Palin was never a lead candidate for president despite that she says she can defeat Obama. Do you want to know who her real contender is? Mitt Romney. He's been hitting the political scene while Palin has been hitting the television screen. Let's all just hope it stays that way, who knows what could happen if she actually did win. Hopefully, she just stays in Alaska keeping track of foreign affairs in Russia and killing moose.

Today we're going to talk about Pelosi.

This political cartoon I found in the New York Times. I love the political cartoons I find in there. This one is the best.

If you're unsure why this cartoon was made here's a quick summary.

Pelosi was the majority leader in the House until this year's election when the Republicans came to be the majority. In tradition, the representatives vote whoever the majority leader used to be back to be the minority leader. Pelosi didn't do a terrible job, but she didn't please the public, so to save their seats in the House, the representatives threatened to not re-elect her.
